American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring Advanced NRP certification and prior high-risk L&D experience.

Details

• Level IV, newly built Women & Infants Hospital setting
• 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit, 20-bed High Risk Unit, and 8-bed OB Triage
• Night shift, 19:00-07:30
• 36 hours per week with every third weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Possible float to a nearby L&D unit in Carmel, IN if needed
• Follows AWHONN staffing guidelines: 1:1 ratio in active labor, up to 2 patients in early/latent labor
• Role includes charge nurse duties in both L&D and High Risk Unit, and baby nurse coverage for deliveries
• Two-shift orientation provided

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Advanced NRP certification required
• Experience with advanced external fetal monitoring required
• Experience with magnesium and insulin drips required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct patient care in high-acuity L&D, high-risk OB, and triage settings
• Strong commitment to reliable attendance expected; no tolerance for call-offs
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• Only one submission per candidate allowed across the health system
• Extension conversations should begin at least 45 days prior to assignment end date
