American Traveler is hiring a MICU RN for night shift with every-other-weekend coverage, requiring 2+ years of continuous ICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
• Cares for adult patients with conditions such as substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30), does not rotate
• Works every other weekend
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• 36 or 48 hour work options available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
