Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with 5+ years of experience and active MA RN licensure for a 13-week assignment supporting a busy surgical services unit.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit supporting General Surgery, Thoracic, Plastic, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, and Gynecology patients
• 34-bed unit with a daily census of 30 to 40 patients
• 1 RN to 2 patient staffing ratio
• Cares for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Days/Eves rotating shift schedule (9:00am-5:00pm and 9:00am-7:30pm) with every other weekend required
• Primarily evening shift with occasional rotation to day shift; no night shifts
• No floating required
• 36 or 40 hour per week options available

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 5 years of PACU experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions permitted

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Local candidates accepted; must reside within 60 miles of Boston for standard rate eligibility
