Description

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with a Compact or LA license and at least three years of operating room experience to support a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical recovery unit.

Details

• PACU setting supporting pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery for pediatric and adult surgical patients
• Supports all major surgical/procedural populations except patients requiring critical care services
• Facility includes 34 ORs across two floors, including cysto suites, a shared Pediatric GI/Lithotripsy room, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and pulmonary lab cases
• High volume of pediatric patients on the first floor
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract
• Must be comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed
• No call-in requirement
• Uses Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and Accuvein equipment
• Performs regional anesthesia and ECT procedures
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license, Compact or LA, required in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required
• PACU or Pre/Post Op background preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required for consideration
• Two Manager/Supervisor references (not Charge RN) required to obtain clearance to start

Additional Information

• Provide pre-op and post-op recovery care to surgical patients of all ages
• Orientation held five days a week
• Facility does not accept local travelers; candidates must live 65+ miles from the facility
• RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process to avoid offer rescission
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the facility for one full year before returning as a travel employee
