American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract requiring Level 1 trauma experience and competency across multiple surgical specialties including Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room setting
• Staff are expected to work across a variety of surgical specialty areas
• Specialties required include Total Joints, Orthopedic Spine, Gynecology, and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• On-call hours run 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM on weekdays, and from 7:00 AM Saturday through 7:00 AM Monday on weekends
• On-call is assigned on a rotating basis; expect 2–3 weekday call shifts in the first 6-week block, followed by a weekend call block in the next
• 40-minute response time required for on-call

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license in good standing, required at time of consideration — no licensure hits accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience required
• Level 1 trauma OR experience required
• Experience in Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; RTO requested after submission will not be approved
• 13-week contract
