American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Newborn Nursery (Level 2) position in Charleston, SC, requiring at least 1 year of Level 2 Nursery experience and active SC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Newborn Nursery (NSG Nursery) unit in a hospital setting
• Level 2 Nursery patient population
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating to sister hospital facilities may be required
• Charting via Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license in SC or a current compact/multi-state RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Level 2 Nursery experience required
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
• NRP certification required
• Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing required
• BSN preferred (highly desired)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to newborn patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the SC Nurse Practice Act
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Regular interaction with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare staff
• Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting/moving patients, and intermittent lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and other conditions common to a healthcare environment
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a mandatory 30–60 day break, with total assignment time not to exceed one calendar year from initial start date
