Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU position in Denver, CO requiring at least 1 year of PACU experience, Epic proficiency, and an active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in a hospital setting
• Cross-coverage in the pre-op department is required
• Day shift, 4x9-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week), weekdays
• On-call required during regularly scheduled shifts
• Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
• Charting is done in Epic

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS — must not expire prior to assignment start
• ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for post-anesthesia patients
• Performs health teaching, counseling, and executes delegated medical functions
• Refers patients as needed and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
• Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Former permanent Intermountain staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
