American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel contract in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring active KY or compact RN licensure and multiple emergency-specific certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
• Provides urgent and emergency medical care to a general patient population
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• Proficiency with computer systems and clinical applications, or ability to be trained

Additional Information

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments including cultural, age, and developmental considerations
• Implements individualized care plans, executes treatments and procedures, and facilitates admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Conducts ongoing patient education and coordinates discharge planning with case management and interdisciplinary team
• Delegates tasks and oversees team members in the delivery of patient care
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation audits
• BSN is preferred but not required
