American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, with behavioral health exposure, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within a short-term acute care hospital (733 staffed beds) designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Behavioral health patient population in addition to standard MS/Tele cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
• Pre-start orientation modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
• Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Previously employed travelers must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing a 6-month break prior to returning
