American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Orange, CA, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience.

Details

• PACU / Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit in a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Schedule is 4x10-hour mid shifts with variable start times between 0700 and 1000
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within California — refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• Charting is performed using Epic
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required — pending licensure not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff of this Providence facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• All RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of submission — minimal to no RTO is strongly preferred
• RNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs
• 13-week contract
