Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Parker, CO, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and TCAR certification prior to start.

Details

• 16-bed mixed medical ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes trauma, neurosurgical, medical, adult, and geriatric patients
• Standard ICU patient ratio of 2:1; up to 3:1 when floating to cardiac or stroke units
• Both remote and on-unit telemetry monitoring utilized
• Epic EMR in use
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• No on-call requirement
• Floating required to the attached Cardiac and Stroke unit, as well as to other AdventHealth Regional Medical Response (RMR) facilities in the region (Avista, Castle Rock, Littleton, Parker, Porter) as needed; at least 2 hours' notice provided prior to floating outside of the primary site

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• TCAR certification must be completed prior to start date
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers; no radius rule applies
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 90 days before returning as a traveler
• Two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are required or an approved declination; booster is not currently required
• If a call-off occurs on a weekend or holiday, the manager may schedule an additional weekend or holiday shift as a replacement
