American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health Adult Unit position in Gallatin, TN, requiring at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience and active TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Night shift position with hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week travel contract
• Inpatient Behavioral Health Adult Unit at a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center
• 12-bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Common diagnoses include Alzheimer's disease, behavioral disturbance, failure to thrive, depression, and suicidal ideation
• EMR system: Meditech
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• May float to Med/Surg as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact) required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and Handle With Care (HWC)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

Additional Information

• Provide behavioral health nursing care to adult psychiatric patients
• Geriatric psychiatric experience and medical floor experience are preferred
• Must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Team-oriented personality is preferred for this unit
