Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Outpatient Surgery Center, intraoperative OR setting
• Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital with 500 staffed beds
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday with variable days
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Epic EMR is used; experience preferred but not required (hard stop charting)
• OR scrubs are provided on the unit; any solid color scrubs are also acceptable

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact license currently in hand (pending license not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Must be an experienced traveler with at least 2 travel assignments beyond initial hospital employment
• COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Former UW health system employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO may not be requested during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum
• Onsite parking is available at $15/day (M–F); offsite parking is available at $10/day with a 10-minute shuttle service operating Monday–Friday, 5 AM–10 PM, located approximately 1 mile from the facility
