American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care Peds CVOR experience and open heart/cardiac surgery skills.

Details

• Pediatric cardiovascular OR unit within a children's hospital setting, operating out of 8 ORs with a staff of 25
• Pediatric surgical patient population with procedures including cardiac/open heart surgery, orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general, GYN, endoscopy, plastics, and more
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Belmont Rapid Fusion equipment
• EMR: Meditech / CPN
• Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM; unit hours of operation 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Night shift covered by an on-call team
• 13-week contract based in Denver, CO

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Current PALS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Peds CVOR RN experience
• Cardiac/open heart surgery experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no exceptions
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing the operating room, assisting surgeons, monitoring vital signs, and providing pre- and post-operative care
• Ability to function across multiple service lines is preferred
• Unit is supported by service line leaders and a charge RN on day shift
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a patient-care-focused approach are highly valued
• Previous permanent employment with HCA may affect eligibility
