Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a large academic teaching hospital, requiring recent cardiovascular/open heart OR competency and current Epic experience.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a large (500+ bed) academic teaching hospital
• CVOR specialty requiring hearts scrubbing
• 12-hour rotating shifts (day/evening), 3-12s scheduled 06:45-19:15, 36 hours per week
• One to two weekday calls (19:00-07:15), typically only one unless short staffed
• One full weekend of call every 5 weeks
• May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT) as a circulator only when floated
• Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling

Requirements

• Active RN license (VT or Compact) required
• BLS required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high competency in cardiovascular/open heart OR
• Large academic teaching hospital experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Prior travel experience required
• General OR experience required

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties for cardiovascular and open heart surgical cases
• Bi-weekly orientations offered, aligning with assignment start dates
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
• Local candidates accepted
• Radius and local pay rates available based on mileage from facility
