American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with pediatric experience and Illinois SLP licensure for a hospital-based therapy annex position.

Details

• Hospital-based outpatient therapy annex setting
• Treats pediatric patients with speech, language, and feeding/swallowing impairments
• Coordinates care with pediatric PT/OT for treatment interventions
• Uses Epic for daily documentation and charging
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 26-week contract
• May float as needed within the facility

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Current Illinois SLP license through IDFPR required if applicable
• Current BLS certification
• Experience conducting standardized testing and assessing feeding/swallowing impairments
• Epic EMR charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients across a range of speech, language, and feeding-related impairments
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
• Collect case history and integrate information from patients, families, caregivers, and other professionals
• Select and administer appropriate evaluation procedures based on patient needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and therapeutic activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including pediatric PT/OT
• Recognize and respect the cultural, linguistic, and communication preferences of patients and families
