Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current IL license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification to work night shifts and float across multiple critical care units.

Details

• Work in a Level 1 Trauma Center ICU environment
• Float between Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, and may also float to Med Surg units as needed
• Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 7:00pm–7:30am with every other weekend required
• Mandatory floating to any designated units within 50 miles at the facility's discretion
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests are permitted
• EMR system: Cerner, no prior experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required upon application; no pending licensure accepted
• Two years of recent acute care ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proof of COVID vaccination required prior to start (booster not required)
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility to be considered local
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an assignment

Additional Information

• First week consists of orientation and precepting on day shift
• Navy blue scrubs required, not provided by the facility
• Every other weekend is required; no holiday RTO or weekend RTO permitted
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no time off before or after a holiday
• Team-based support provided when floating outside primary competency
• Parking available for $2/day with a shuttle to the hospital
• No first-time travelers indicated in guidelines
