American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Pediatric/Multi-Specialty Operating Room position in Dover-Foxcroft, ME, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and the ability to circulate independently and work in the PACU.

Details

• Small surgical department with 3 OR suites and 1 GI Endoscopy room
• Case types include General, Orthopedic, Gynecological, Obstetric, Endoscopic, Urology, Podiatry, and Pain Clinic procedures across all age groups
• Averages approximately 8–10 cases per day
• Must be able to circulate all cases independently and work in the PACU
• PreOp experience required as part of daily workflow
• Must be comfortable monitoring patients on a cardiac monitor
• EMR: Cerner (experience preferred)
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Call requirement applies; details discussed during interview
• Weekend call rotation required
• Holiday call coverage is possible

Requirements

• Active ME or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Must be able to circulate all OR cases independently
• PreOp and PACU experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required or strongly preferred
• Full SSN required for consideration
• Valid Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references within the past year required, with at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge Nurse acceptable; peer references not accepted)
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required for clearance
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles South/Southwest of Bangor, ME to be eligible
• Must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity

• Orientation length is dependent on experience

• All RTO requests require manager approval and must be disclosed upfront
• Candidates living 100+ miles North of Bangor, ME may be considered on a case-by-case basis with individual approval
