American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in New Mexico, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Details

• Endoscopy unit within a 554-bed Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital that also serves as a children's hospital
• Patient population includes screening/surveillance colonoscopies, EGDs, esophageal manometries, anorectal manometries, pH studies, paracentesis, and ascites management
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Procedures include circulating, conscious sedation, and telemetry monitoring
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• 1–2 late calls required per week
• Floating within the endoscopy unit only to meet facility needs
• Green scrubs are provided; black scrubs may be purchased independently
• No parking fee

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy or GI nursing experience required
• Telemetry skills preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider for medical exemptions

• Travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached a one-year mark at this facility are required to take a 6-month break before returning
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• 13-week contract minimum; all new contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
