American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and availability for night shifts with weekend requirements.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Medical Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Floating between all facilities within the state is expected and mandatory
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR is required (hard stop)

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN) are required to wear solid navy blue scrubs; print tops are not acceptable
• Minimal RTO is preferred; time-off requests should be disclosed upfront, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
