Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU travel assignment in Kona, Hawaii, requiring active HI licensure and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Details

• 9-bed ICU in a hospital setting
• Primary adult ICU population; stable pediatric patients seen on occasion — unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care
• Standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, with 1:1 care as clinically indicated
• Med/surg overflow assignments possible, with ratios up to 3–4 patients per nurse
• Minimum of three nurses staffed per shift
• 12-hour day or night shifts available
• Schedule of 72 hours every two weeks
• Floating to other departments to assist (not taking a full patient team) may be required

Requirements

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience required

• Charge nurse duties may be assigned on occasion
• State license must be currently active at time of consideration
