Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU (CCU) position requiring at least 2 years of CCU/ICU/CVSICU experience and hands-on proficiency with advanced cardiac devices including Impella and IABP.

Details

• 12-bed Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) in a large academic hospital setting (500+ bed facility)
• High-acuity patient population including acute MI, cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, and congestive heart failure
• Routine care for patients on advanced cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, ECMO, CRRT, PA catheters, and LVADs
• Rotating day/night shifts (7A/7P, 12-hour shifts)
• Float required to areas of like skill set as needed
• Epic EMR (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of current CCU, ICU, or CVSICU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Critical Care Certification (e.g., CCRN) preferred
• Solid hands-on experience with cardiac devices including IABP and Impella required
• PA catheter experience required
• Experience at a 500+ bed facility required

Additional Information

• Provide intensive nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions and advanced mechanical circulatory support devices
• Trauma course experience preferred
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
