Description

American Traveler is hiring a first-time traveler-eligible RN for an IMC/Step-Down position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of progressive care experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds and Level II Trauma designation
• Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) / Step-Down unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
• Floating between all facilities within the state is required and mandatory
• Epic EMR required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, or Step-Down setting
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license at time of consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Solid navy blue scrubs are required for licensed nursing personnel; print tops are not acceptable
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact candidacy
• Any RTO must be disclosed upfront — requests made after submission or offer may be denied and could risk contract termination
