American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience, NRP certification, and a Kansas or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital LDRP unit with 8 LDRP beds, 2 OB Triage beds, 1 C-section OR, and 4 Special Care Nursery beds
• Approximately 40 deliveries per month
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines: Labor 1:1, Postpartum couplet care 1:3–4, Special Care Nursery 1:1–2
• All staff are expected to provide care across the full scope of LDRP activities: labor, vaginal delivery, C-section circulator (OR), recovery, postpartum, and newborn care (initial and routine)
• Charting system: Cerner
• 12-hour night shifts, 3x12 schedule (shift times: 1845–0715)
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend on nights
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating is not required; any cross-unit coverage would be based solely on individual competency and comfort
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — Kansas (KS) or compact state license required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D or LDRP experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• STABLE certification required (may be worked around if not currently held)
• Cerner EMR experience strongly recommended given unit use

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility (light pink top, gray bottoms)
• No formal orientation hours are built into the contract; orientation dates are structured around specific start cycles
• BSN is not required for this position
