American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Home Health & Hospice position requiring at least 1 year of home health and hospice experience, a valid driver's license, and an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.

Details

• Home health and hospice care setting serving patients in their homes, nursing homes, and other community settings within a 60-mile radius around Dickinson, ND
• Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics with home health and hospice diagnoses
• Charting system: HomeCare HomeBase
• Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation for evenings and weekends
• Holiday coverage rotation required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active ND or Compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification required; pending certifications not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Home health and hospice experience is required
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Conducts initial and ongoing client assessments, determines nursing diagnoses, and initiates and revises individualized plans of care
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed; provides health education to clients and families
• Manages discharge planning and acts as Case Manager when assigned, coordinating care for an assigned caseload
• Communicates regularly with physicians regarding client status, changes in condition, and physician orders
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates home health aide care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• All requested time off must be provided upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after submission
