American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a 379-bed short-term acute care hospital designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Expected patient ratio of 1:3
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Block scheduling is available but not required
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required (hard stop)
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Licensed nursing personnel (RN) are required to wear solid navy blue scrubs; print tops are not permitted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal RTO is expected; limited time-off requests should be disclosed upfront, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
