American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - NICU for a night shift travel contract requiring at least 2 years of Level 3-4 NICU experience, including ventilator and oscillator management.

Details

• Hospital-based NICU setting
• Neonates are primarily admitted from labor and delivery, with a patient population ranging from 23 weeks gestation to 4 months of age
• Conditions treated include extreme prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome
• Services provided include noninvasive nasal CPAP, mechanical ventilation, High Frequency Oscillation (HFO), and nitric oxide inhalation therapy
• 36 hours per week, 3x12-hour night shifts

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), NRP, and STABLE
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience in a US hospital required; 3+ years strongly preferred
• Level 3 or Level 4 NICU experience required
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilators, oscillators, and vasopressors required
• Experience caring for micro-preemies required
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Nurses respond to neonatal emergencies, providing assessment and immediate care to newborns post-delivery, and attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries
• Bedside procedures include peripheral IV insertion, septic workups, intubations, percutaneous catheter insertions, parenteral therapy, blood product administration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and parent teaching
• All certifications must be AHA-issued
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• CPI certification is required for this position
