American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mixed Acuity Med/Surg Tele (MPCU) position at a short-term acute care hospital in Indiana, requiring solid neuro experience and proficiency with cardiac drips.

• Work in a mixed acuity Med/Surg Tele (MPCU) unit at a 194-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Unit serves medical/surgical and PCU-level patients across oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary care areas
• MS patient ratio is 1:5–6; PCU patient ratio is 1:3–4
• Patient population includes unstable stroke patients and those requiring BiPAP
• Nurses will manage Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin drips, as well as Lasix and Insulin infusions
• Post-heart cath and post-pacemaker patient care is part of the caseload
• Charting is performed in Cerner (experience required)
• Day shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand (pending licensure not accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of RN experience required
• Solid neuro nursing experience required
• MS/Tele or PCU background required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
• Experience with cardiac drips including Cardizem and Amiodarone, as well as post-heart cath and post-pacemaker care required

• Former permanent or PRN employees of this health system must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler
• Indiana-licensed RNs are not eligible for this unit (MS/Tele) per facility policy — only non-Indiana compact license holders or out-of-state travelers qualify
