American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Case Manager for a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of case management experience in a large acute care facility and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with over 1,200 staffed beds
• Case managers cover all units except psychiatry and women and infants
• Average daily census exceeds 1,000 patients
• Mon–Fri schedule, 5x8-hour shifts starting at either 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM based on unit needs
• Epic and Allscripts used for charting; Epic experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO RN license required at time of consideration; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
• A compact RN license is also accepted
• Minimum 2 years of case management experience in a facility with 1,000+ beds required; candidates with 200+ bed experience may be considered
• Academic or teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include completing assessments on all admitted patients, attending interdisciplinary rounds, and initiating referrals for home health, DME, SNFs, LTACHs, and IRFs
• Magnet-designated Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Monthly parking passes are available at various lots and garages near the facility at the traveler's expense
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Standard travelers may work up to 18 months consecutively, after which a 3-month break is required before returning
