American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Home Health position serving multiple counties in North Carolina, requiring at least 1 year of home health experience and proficiency with Homecare Homebase (HCHB).

Details

• Home health setting serving Cleveland, Gaston, Rutherford, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, and Rowan Counties in NC
• Adult patient population (18+) with diagnoses including diabetes, heart failure, wound care, wound VACs, Pleurx drains, Foley and suprapubic catheters, feeding tubes, and peripheral/PICC/port IV therapy
• Typical caseload of 6–7 visit equivalents (VEs) per day, with a weekly requirement of 30 VEs
• Approximately 2 admissions per day, each weighted at 2.40 VEs
• EMR: Homecare Homebase (HCHB) required; EPIC Rover used for view-only access; Focura used for uploading discharge instructions and wound documentation
• Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm day shift
• Travel throughout service area communities including Lincolnton, Belmont, Mount Holly, Cramerton, Denver, Dallas, Troutman, and surrounding cities
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities
• Weekend rotation not required unless interested
• No holiday coverage required unless interested

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of home health nursing experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
• Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and OASIS charting experience required — no exceptions
• Proficiency with wound care, wound VACs, PICC line dressing changes, port access, IV infusions, catheter insertion, and drain management
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required
• Ability to drive at night
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Nurses will schedule patient visits the day prior to each visit
• A company cell phone (Samsung Note 9) is provided for documentation and patient/provider communication; no personal vehicle is provided
• Orientation includes new employee orientation (NEO) and 2 days of departmental training
• A manager interview is required
• Scrub color: Navy
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they have prior home health nursing experience
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the home unit; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who previously worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• RTO requests require manager approval
