American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring specialized cardiac device experience, including Impella, IABP, and ECMO, on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting in a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
• 13-week travel contract
• Patients include complex cardiovascular cases requiring advanced hemodynamic support and post-open heart surgical care
• Proficiency with Impella, IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump), CRRT, and ECMO required
• Post open heart day 2 care is a key component of the patient population

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Hands-on experience with Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post-open heart care required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing an assigned group of cardiovascular ICU patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, IV infusions, blood product administration, and medication management
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding requirements immediately upon accepting an offer
