American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with acute hospital case management experience and a valid MO or compact RN license for a travel assignment in the St. Louis area.

Details

• Acute hospital setting, Case Management unit
• Caseload ratio of 1:18
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend work required
• Remote on-call required every 6th weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No floating required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO RN license (or compact RN license) required — must be in hand at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• BSN required; ACM or CCM certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN case management experience required
• Experience in acute hospital case management, care coordination, and discharge planning required
• Experience with facility placement to SNF, IRF, LTC, and LTAC required
• Experience coordinating post-acute care needs such as home health, DME, IV antibiotics, and TPN required
• Understanding of how post-acute care coverage intersects with patient-specific payors required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travel RNs may work at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
