American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU - Respiratory Care Unit position requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience, ventilator support proficiency, and an active FL or compact license.

Details

• High acuity ICU Respiratory Care Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 3:1 with a maximum of 4:1 depending on staffing
• Patient population includes acute and chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• Epic EMR required; Cerner experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — all must be in hand
• Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience with acute and chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
• Trauma and Neuro experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Degree must be from an accredited school, or from a Florida Board of Nursing (FBON)-approved institution with at least 2 years of recent consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital within the past 24 months
• Proof of vaccination status required — declinations not accepted
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia (EKG) assessment
• Travel pairs will not be considered

Additional Information

• Preferred experience includes Charge RN, SICU, MICU, Trauma, Stroke, and Cerner experience
• A pass/fail Basic Arrhythmia assessment is required; if not passed, a retake (Dysrhythmia Exam B via Relias) must be completed within 24 hours and passed with an overall Angoff score of 83% or higher, 100% in the lethal rhythm section, and 83% in all other sections
• Study guides and tips to help pass the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation portal
