American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring interventional cardiac cath lab experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Work in a 5-room Cardiac Cath Lab at a 562-bed Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Average daily census of 25 patients
• Procedures include: circulating, diagnostic adult catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and PA line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (0630–1900)
• On-call required as needed
• Expected to work 2–3 weekends per contract
• Floating within scope is required, including to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Charting performed in Cerner

Requirements

• Active Illinois (IL) RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiac cath lab experience required
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• RTO of 5 days or fewer is preferred; requests beyond 5 days require facility approval
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not accepted
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
