American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift travel contract at an acute care hospital in Orangeburg, SC, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital (286 staffed beds) in an Emergency Department
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Patient ratios are based on acuity
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility and department needs
• Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
• No on-call requirement
• Parking is provided at no cost
• Royal blue scrubs are required

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact/multi-state RN license required; SC license in hand is preferred, but candidates with a pending SC license will be considered
• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have emergency room experience
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
• Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
