American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital in Orangeburg, SC, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work setting is a 286-bed acute care hospital Emergency Department
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Patient-to-nurse ratios are based on acuity
• Every other weekend is required
• No on-call requirement
• Floating within scope to meet facility and department needs is required
• Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
• Parking is provided at no cost
• Scrub color: Royal Blue

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license required; SC license in hand is prioritized, though candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• CPI and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have prior emergency room experience
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront, as approval is subject to facility needs
• Pre-start online modules are required to be completed prior to the assignment start date
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
