Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring BLS and ACLS certifications, with call responsibilities and a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab unit serving an adult to geriatric patient population
• 3 rooms with 5 beds and an average daily census of 8–10 patients
• Procedures include circulation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• EMR systems used: Epic and Pyxis
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Every third weekend required
• Approximately 10 call days per month
• Floating required within the facility and within scope of practice, with the possibility of floating to a sister campus

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are strongly preferred for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No scheduling requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Local candidates are accepted
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time
