American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with stroke and post-cardiac cath care background for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• 13-week contract at a 110-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients including stroke, post-cardiac cath, neuro spine, total joint replacement, general surgery, wound care, diabetic, medical COVID, and oral surgery cases
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Patient ratio of 1:4–6 with an average daily census of 16
• Every third weekend required
• Floating between two hospital campuses required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active MO RN license required; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or step-down RN experience required
• Experience with stroke patient care required
• Experience with post-cardiac catheterization patient care required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrub color: light gray/silver
• Some orientation activities may occur outside of the standard contract shift hours
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain placed at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
