American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of clinical experience and ASHA CCC certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Speech Therapy/Speech Pathology unit
• Serves adult patients in acute care inpatient, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings
• Provides speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluation and treatment
• Primary placement is inpatient with some outpatient responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR
• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required approximately every 8 weeks (1–2 weekends per 13–16 week rotation)
• No holiday coverage required
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an SLPA
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Active North Dakota SLPA license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: 1 supervisor reference within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Active certifications required at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted

Additional Information

• Provides speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations and treatment to adult patients across acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings
• Orientation includes Epic EMR training, hospital orientation, and department-specific orientation (8-hour orientation)
• Business casual dress code
• Candidates must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates with any previous employment at a Sanford Health location must have an end date at least 6 months prior to the consideration date
