Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2+ years of Tele/PCU/Stepdown experience and active WV or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Hospital PCU/Stepdown unit setting
• Telemetry/progressive care patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 (subject to fluctuation with census and call-ins)
• Meditech EMR in use
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 36/48-hour, two-week pay period rotation
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Tele/PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly basis
• Blocked scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
• 13-week contract
