American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry/Med-Surg unit with a 1:6–1:7 patient ratio, requiring AHA BLS, ACLS, and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting, caring for medical-surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7, though ratios may fluctuate with census and call-ins
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30), working either 3x12 or 4x12 per two-week pay period
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating within scope of practice is required
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KY RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly schedule
• Patients are short-stay MS/Tele and observation cases
