American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a BSN, active NJ or Compact RN license, and experience in CT and MRI departments.

Details

• Position is based in the Radiology Department, with primary work in CT and MRI departments
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 12:00–22:30
• Skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, medication management, administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• MRI experience is preferred
• Floating may be required to an offsite Ridgewood Observation Unit, as needed

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• BSN required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Prior radiology experience required
• Candidates who have worked in NJ in the past 7 years must provide employer name, address, and phone number (required for CN-9 form)
• One supervisory or manager reference within the past year is required for consideration
• Proof of full COVID vaccination series and booster required for consideration
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for travel assignments

Additional Information

• Candidates must be prepared to pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam requiring independent EKG strip interpretation — this is a pass/fail exam with an 80% minimum score and no retakes allowed
• The arrhythmia exam covers ventricular, atrial, junctional, and paced rhythms, as well as heart blocks, using a systematic 5-step interpretation process
• Lab work must be completed within 2 business days of acceptance to avoid cancellation risk
• Orientation includes both billable and non-billable module completion; modules are also completed annually thereafter
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a different rate
