Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CVOR position requiring a DC RN license, at least 2 years of experience with circulating and Level 1 trauma, and completion of at least one prior travel assignment.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
• Day shift hours are 6:30 AM–7:00 PM; Evening shift hours are 11:00 AM–11:30 PM
• Schedule options include 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts
• On-call requirement of 6 calls per 6-week schedule
• One weekend or holiday shift required per 6-week schedule
• May float to general surgery when CVOR cases are not scheduled
• On-campus parking is available, eliminating the need for a shuttle after evening shifts

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required; a pending DC license is accepted provided the application has been submitted and the license is obtained prior to the start date
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR RN experience required
• Experience with circulating in the OR is required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate

• Responsibilities include circulating for cardiovascular surgical cases in a high-acuity OR environment
• Flu vaccine is required for all staff at this facility
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years will be needed for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained will be needed for consideration
