Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an inpatient assignment requiring a valid NH or Compact PT license.

Details

• Inpatient physical therapy unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 8-hour shifts, no on-call requirements
• Therapists must be available to float anywhere within the facility as needed

Requirements

• Current NH permanent license or Compact PT license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• Experience in inpatient/acute care physical therapy
• Proficiency in performing patient evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with licensure and scope of practice
• Competence in administering formal standardized tests, scales, and clinical tools
• Ability to review and interpret provider orders, lab values, and vital signs
• 3 professional references required upon commitment, with at least 2 from leadership

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient evaluation and re-evaluation, documentation per department standards, and reviewing all pertinent medical information
• Must demonstrate understanding of chronic illness impacts and considerations across age, physical, emotional, social, economic, cultural, and vocational dimensions
• Candidates are expected to support interdisciplinary team development and collaboration
• Weekly orientation provided
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Former permanent staff are eligible to return as travelers after a minimum 12-month break in service
