American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for an inpatient rehab and acute care role at a hospital in Hawaii, working day shifts Monday through Friday.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation and acute rehab setting
• Coverage across both inpatient and outpatient rehab
• Patient population consists of adults requiring occupational therapy evaluation and treatment
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• EMR systems used include Net Health Therapy and Meditech
• 20-week contract

Requirements

• Active Hawaii OT license required by start of assignment; license application required upon acceptance if not currently held
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience in both outpatient and acute care settings working with adults
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross required
• Ability to work Hawaii State and Federal holidays as needed based on hospital operations

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and re-evaluating assigned inpatient and outpatient cases, planning and implementing individualized therapeutic programs as prescribed by the ordering physician
• Duties include regularly updating treatment plans, developing home exercise programs, independently managing a full caseload, and determining when re-evaluations are needed based on insurance authorization
• Orientation process begins in Hilo with HR and Employee Health clearance, followed by travel to Ka'u Hospital for initial paperwork and orientation materials
