American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, ACLS, and BLS certifications with a minimum of 1.5 years of ED experience.

Details

• 13-week travel contract in a large, academic, short-term acute care hospital ED with over 1,500 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Average patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• Travelers are assigned to one primary campus with the possibility of rotating to other campuses for cross-training and floating
• Travelers are not assigned to trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units
• Charting via Epic
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling can be accommodated
• Pending CT/compact RN license accepted

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license (pending license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Minimum 1.5 years of ED experience from a comparable hospital setting (2 years preferred)
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate

Additional Information

• Level I Trauma Center at a large academic medical center
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; RTO exceeding 7 days requires manager approval
• Weekend call-out policy: any missed weekend shift will be rescheduled as a make-up weekend shift within the next 6-week scheduling period
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month
