American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring an active VA or Compact license, circulating skills, and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit at a teaching facility with resident coverage
• Unit includes 16 labor rooms, 6 triage rooms, 6 antepartum rooms, and 3 ORs
• Adjacent Level 3 NICU on site
• Patient population includes OB patients greater than 20 weeks with conditions such as preeclampsia, GDM, PPROM, multiples, fetal anomalies, and cardiac defects
• Average daily census of 15 patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• External cephalic versions (ECVs) are performed during the day shift
• 24/7 in-house anesthesia coverage available
• Daytime OR team handles scheduled C-sections and most add-on cases
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Self-scheduling
• No on-call required
• Documents medication using Omnicell
• Charting in Epic (Stork/OB module) and OBTV; Epic Stork/OB class required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of L&D RN experience required
• Circulating skillset required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred but not required
• PDF copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical or religious exemptions subject to CMS compliance review
