American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU (Recovery Room) position at a Level 3 Trauma Center in Cape Girardeau, MO, requiring at least 1 year of PACU experience and active MO or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• PACU/Recovery Room department in a 245-bed hospital
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Epic
• Float requirements within scope as needed
• Weekends on request
• Holiday coverage on a rotating basis

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless documentation of scheduled renewal is provided
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs are not accepted)
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• The facility is a 245-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center
• Facility holds Joint Commission certifications including Comprehensive Cardiac Center, Primary Stroke Center (Gold Seal), and is designated a Missouri Level II Stroke Center and Missouri Level I STEMI Center
• Responsibilities include post-anesthesia monitoring, IV therapy and central line care, medication administration, wound care, patient and family education, and emergency response
• Provides supervision and delegation to unlicensed assistive personnel and ancillary staff
• Scrub color required: black
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates are welcome to apply; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a reduced bill rate and may work a maximum of 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this location before a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required
