American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR (Open Heart Surgery) travel position in Myrtle Beach, SC, requiring at least 1 year each of general OR and cardiac experience along with BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Located in an acute-care hospital main building, within the CVOR/Open Heart Surgery unit
• 403-bed facility that is the only cardiac surgery program in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding counties
• 1:1 patient ratio with 2 surgical techs per room
• Procedures performed include CABG, valve replacements, TAVARs, TEVARs, robotic lung surgery, VATS, and thoracotomies
• Da Vinci Robot XI is utilized in this unit
• Floating to the General OR may be required
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Shift hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM with on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)
• CST certification required
• Minimum 1 year of General OR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac OR/CVOR experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Ceil blue scrubs are required as the dress code
• The facility is a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and the only neurosurgery program and pediatric intensive care unit in the Myrtle Beach area

• Staff describe the environment as fast-paced, team-oriented, and supportive
