American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LDRP position requiring high-risk L&D experience, NRP and BLS certifications, and availability for night shifts every other weekend and holiday.

Details

• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Unit includes 10 LDRs, 2 triage beds, 3 recovery room beds, 2 ORs, and 20 Mother/Baby rooms
• High-risk deliveries with NICU attendance, 24/7 OB resident and anesthesia coverage on unit
• Average of 125 deliveries per month
• Fetal monitoring via Philips Avalon and OBIX system
• Epic EHR — experience preferred
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Primarily assigned to L&D with float coverage to Postpartum and Mom/Baby as needed
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required
• Level 3 or 4 maternity care experience preferred
• NCC-EFM certification preferred
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia (EKG) exam — study guide provided
• Proof of address document required for consideration (e.g., Driver's License, Voter Registration card, Federal Tax Return, Military Form DD-2058, or W2)
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 supervisory reference required
• Copy of certifications required

Additional Information

• Provides care to women during pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and neonatal stages, including triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management
• Performs electronic fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and supports the mother/fetal dyad
• Provides breastfeeding support and education, as well as discharge teaching and planning
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team including care management, OB residents, anesthesia, NICU staff, and a unit clerk
• Pass/fail EKG test administered on the first day with two attempts allowed; study guide will be provided
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
